Introducing our angel ~ Ella Victoria

Waiting to be taken back for my c-section. (Trying to pass the time without having to think too much).
Our first family picture! Finally, our family of three!
Mommy's angel!
Pure bliss!
Such a beautiful baby with a head full of dark hair! (that was a suprise to mommy)!
Ella Victoria graced us with her beautiful self on Wednesday, September 21 at 10:28am weighing 7lbs 12oz and 20.5 inches long. I don't think I even have words to describe the past 14 days. Unforgettable, sweet, tender, emotional (lots of different ones) are just a few words that come to mind! We're having so much fun getting to know this precious one! I can't imagine anything better or more rewarding!

baby loves.

A cute way to display hairbows/flowers!
Just precious! Leopard...my favorite!
What a cute picture to put in Ella's bathroom (next to the DIY bow frame)! The ideas are rolling! ;)
I think these are a Fall/Winter must have! Darling!
Could these be any cuter?! So fun and able to wear with so much!

{just the two of us}

What do two do on their last weekend before becoming parents....well I'm glad you asked (I was going to tell you anyways)! :) Honestly, we had a very laid back and relaxing weekend...probably the most perfect thing we could have done! It's a great feeling, but at the same time a weird feeling knowing exactly when you're going to go to the hospital. Sometimes I just want to speed up the clock and other times, my nerves get a hold of me and I want to slow things down!
Friday after our doctors appointment, we went out to eat (which is very rare for us now days)! We are still trying to find our little whole in the wall Mexican food place (still no luck), but we did have fun just being out of the house. We came back and watched a movie...and talked all about the next few exciting days we have ahead of us!
Saturday was a pretty laid back day! A perfect day to lay around and watch football. It was cloudy and rainy for most of the day (so that was enjoyment in itself)! I also discovered my newest favorite thing....Pinterest! Yikes....I can see where you could get addicted pretty quickly, but what a fun thing to do!
Sunday, mom came over and we went to see Lion King 3D! Again, it was nice getting out of the house (which has been a very rare thing over the past week). What a cute movie! Later in the day, we enjoyed having one of my good friends come over to hang out with us! She brought us some dinner and yummy cookies! I'm so thankful for such good friends!
I'm still amazed that in two short days, we will be meeting our baby girl for the first time! Thank you all for your kind words, encouragement and prayers! We are so excited and can't wait to show her off!
Happy Monday my friends!

{happy game day}

Here are some fun ideas and yummy foodies (all found on Pinterest) to make game day extra special!

{37 weeks and Ella's nursery reveal}

37 weeks!
So here it is! I'm so pleased with how everything turned out! Now we just need to get this sweet baby girl here to enjoy her new room!
Josh and I had our last and final doctors appointment yesterday (Friday). I will be 38 weeks tomorrow (Sunday) and Miss Ella is scheduled to join us this coming Wednesday, September 21st! Everything is still great, but my doctor wants to take her at 38.5 weeks due to high amniotic fluid levels I have developed. The only thing they can associate it with is possible gestational diabetes (that we didn't know about until about 3 weeks ago). Ella is healthy and continuing to grow and grow. We are scheduled to arrive at the hospital on Tuesday night to get the process started and will be ready to get our baby girl here on Wednesday. Because of the high fluid levels, my chances for a c-section are greater, but my doctor wants to see if I can give birth on my own before we even go there (praise the Lord)! Please keep us in your prayers as we have an exciting week ahead! I'm so thankful for the healthy pregnancy I have had so far and trust our delivery will be the same. Stay tuned for pics of our special day!

Yes, Ella is set to arrive on September 21st - the first official day of Fall! While I still have a few extra minutes on hand, I thought I'd share a FEW fall favorites!

Pumpkin Pancakes

Don't you just love this time of year? Fall is my favorite...from the smells, the food, the decorations....the list goes on and on! I can't wait to share my favorite time of year with my baby girl very very soon! Here is a yummy recipe I came across. Hope you enjoy!

Ingredients:

1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

2 tablespoons sugar

2 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon ground ginger

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/8 teaspoon nutmeg

1/8 teaspoon ground cloves

1 cup milk

6 tablespoons pumpkin puree

2 tablespoons butter, melted

1 egg

Directions:

1. Stir together the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, ginger, salt, nutmeg and cloves in a medium bowl.

2. Whisk together the milk, pumpkin, butter and egg in a separate bowl. Fold this mixture into the dry ingredients.

3. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.

4. Pour 1/4 cup batter for each pancake and cook approximately 3 minutes per side.

5. Serve with butter and maple syrup.

{a little sneak peak}....

On Monday, Josh and I went in for our 35 week ultrasound. We were both so excited to be able to see our baby girl, but had no idea all we were in store for! The nurse switched the screen over to the 3D/4D ultrasound (much to our surprise) and I can't even begin to describe that moment! We were able to see our baby girl...so clearly! Her little lips, her nose, her hand resting on her head by her eye, the hair on her head...unbelievable! Everything looked great, except my amniotic fluid levels were a little high. Oh and did I mention...our Ella weighed 6lbs 2oz at the appointment...with 5 weeks to go! I think we might have a little chunky monkey on our hands....but that just means more to love on, right?! We could not be more excited! Things are becoming more and more real the closer we get to the end! Here's a peak at our little love! Won't be long until we get to meet her face to face...oh what a day that will be!
