{weekend happenings}

  Happy Monday! Here is a sweet reminder for us all...

Our little family enjoyed our last beach trip before mommy goes back to work this week! What a super fun summer it has been! Ella had a fun little surprise and got to spend a few days with her cousins! They loved getting to play, ride on the golf cart, snuggle, watch Mickey Mouse, and kiss all over each other! Little miss also got to order of the kids meal for the first time and was pretty excited to have her own big girl plate ALL to herself! Here are a few pics from our weekend...

Here's to another week! Good luck to all my teacher friends beginning a new school year!

XOXO,

{help a sista out}

Anyone out there with this Target yellow flower pillow that is not still using it or know where we can find one, let me know!!! We just need ONE! We'll pay you, clean your house, wash dishes....hehe!

Help a sista out, please!!!!

tasty tuesday {cherry dump cake cobbler}

  This is one of my most favorite desserts {and nope, it's not chocolate...hard to believe}! It is super simple and tastes EVEN better!

Ingredients:

1 (16 oz) can crushed pineapple
1 large fruit pie filling (I use cherry)
1 box yellow cake mix (don't add ingredients listed on box)
2 sticks margarine
1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2. Using 9x13 inch cake pan, layer above ingredients as listed - don't drain anything.

3. Bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Test for doneness.

4. Optional - top with cool whip.

5. Enjoy....you're gonna want to go back for seconds, I promise!

Thank you, Grandmom for this delicious recipe!

{hellooooo}

  Sorry for the lack of posts lately! I'm not around a computer near as much in the summer AND I'm busy chasing around a 10 1/2 month old! We're enjoying our last few weeks of summer before we're back to reality! I'm so very thankful I have had the past 2 1/2 months at home getting to do exactly what I love! I have to say, I'm excited for this upcoming school year as I'll be starting a new journey in my career as an SLP. I think this quote says it best....

So....that is exactly what I'm going to do {not that I didn't LOVE my previous job and will dearly miss my school, my kiddos and awesome co-workers}; but now that I'm a mommy, my role has changed. I'll be working in a different school district part time and getting to spend the rest of my time being a stay-at-home-mommy! I've been praying an opportunity would come open like this since the day I laid eyes on my baby girl! I'm so very thankful and look forward to this new journey!

In other news, we've been busy bees running here and there and soaking up all the playtime we can get! Ella is now a proud BIG cousin to sweet little Sawyer {and of course the little cousin to her adorable McCain}! We've enjoyed some cousin playtime lately, but of course, it's never enough!

I enjoyed a mommy night out over the weekend with a good friend to the Kenny Chesney & Tim McGraw concert in Houston! Such a fun night with fun company!

Thank you, Mimi and Papa for playing with Ella so mommy could go "out on the town" and daddy could go fishing!

We started off my last full week of summer break getting to have a last minute {birthday} lunch with Leslie! She turned the big 3-0! Woohoo! I only have 19 more days in my 20's {but who's counting}?!?!

Happy Monday to all!
