{showered with blessings}

Wow! Josh and I are overwhelmed by everyones generosity, love, and support during this exciting time in our lives! I know I'm a little behind in blogging...but as you can see, we've been busy getting ready for our Miss Ella! Since the last post, we have had two beautiful showers, attended a prepared childbirth class, had a hospital tour, a doctors visit, and I started back to work from summer break! Whew...no wonder I've been extra tired lately (maybe the 110 degree weather has a little to do with it and the fact we're only 5 weeks away from meeting our sweet girl)! I'm still doing great, but beginning to feel very uncomfortable and experiencing Braxton Hicks contractions here and there. We go in today for an ultrasound to see how much Ella is measuring and weighs and to see if she looks like she is going to be on time. We've been waiting for this day since we made the appointment about a month ago! We'll keep you updated! Here are some pictures from our amazing showers!

{tasty tuesday::cowboy oatmeal cookies}

It's Tasty Tuesday! I love baking (when I have the time) and thought this looked like a good easy recipe! Hope you enjoy!::Cowboy Oatmeal Cookies::
Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup margarine
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs
2 cups quick cooking oats
1 cup butterscotch

Directions
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
2. In a medium bowl, cream margarine, oil, brown sugar, and white sugar until smooth. Beat in eggs one at a time. Gradually stir in the sifted ingredients until well blended. Mix in oats and butterscotch chips. Drop from a teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheets.
3. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in preheated oven, or until edges are golden. Let set up on the cookie sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
