{on the go 24-7}

As you can tell by the pictures, Little Miss is having quite a busy summer! She turned 10 months old this past Saturday {tear}, but thinks she is really 24 months old! I think my parents just laugh and laugh...it's time for a little payback! ;) We are enjoying a few days at Mimi and Papa's while daddy is out of town on business. Ella was a little sad to miss her Kindermusik class on Monday, but loved getting to "perform" for everyone {along with her new maracas Papa got her in Mexico}! And drum roll please.....Ella FINALLY said "mama" this week {even though "dada" is still her most favorite word}! Ahh....the day she says "I love you"...I think I'm gonna melt! I think I'll just enjoy the babbling for now...time is going way too fast.

Happy Day, friends!

{DIY monogram wreath}

  These rainy days have forced me to get creative {and tackle some projects I've been wanting to accomplish}! Todays project was the monogram wreath I talked about last week. My front door is thanking me for a fresh new look! It is an easy, inexpensive, and quick project. Here goes...

Materials: All items purchased at Hobby Lobby

Grapevine wreath {I used 24 inch wreath}
Flowers of choice {I used 4 stems of white hydrangeas and 1 stem of green hydrangeas}
Initial letter
Acrylic paint
Sponge
Hot glue gun

 Step 1: Get materials together. Pull the flowers off the stems. Paint your initial in color of choice OR you could even modge podge with your favorite scrapbook paper.

Step 2: Hot glue flowers onto the wreath. I put glue on both the wreath as well as the flowers to make sure they were as secure as they could be.

Step 3: After the paint is dry on the letter, glue the initial onto the wreath. Again...I put lots and lots of hot glue to make sure it would stay. I'm just hoping it does {not so sure with all this Houston humidity}. If not...I'll come up with plan b {and will let you know}! And finally....you're set and ready to hang it on your door for the world to see!

Simple simple simple! Let me know if you have any good ideas or tips you use with DIY wreaths! Happy Wednesday, my friends!

4th of July {recap}

We had a wonderful trip to Aledo and Lake Granbury to celebrate with my mom's side of the family! Ella did great on her first {longer} road trip! We might just have to take Mimi with us on each vacation! Here is a sneak peak into some of our getaway!

Ella loved getting to see her great-grandparents! She is a blessed little girl!

4 generations

So fun celebrating Ella's 1st 4th of July {firsts are always so fun}!

Yee-haw! Having fun with cousin Ashlyn!

 Hi, Granddaddy!

Thank you Mimi and Papa for traveling with me!

It's the simple things in life...of all the toys we packed, this was her most favorite thing to play with!

Such a fun mid-week road trip! I love getting to spend time with our families! Hope your 4th was a fun and relaxing as ours!

{thoughts for thursday}

Hoping everyone had a Happy 4th of July! I will post about our fun week during a later post. Here are my thoughts for this Thursday....random thoughts, but I guess that is okay!

1. I'm anxiously awaiting my new JCREW bubble necklace! This seems to be a hot blog post amoung my fellow bloggers, so I had to check it out....and sure enough, they were right! Ebay...$15, free shipping. How can you pass up a deal like that?!?!

2. PB Fall preview is out! One word...COLOR! If you have seen it or take a look, you'll know what I mean! I'm just a little excited!

3. My door is in need of a new wreath! Thanks to Pinterest, I'm getting many good ideas! I especially love the monogrammed ones {and if you know me, I like anything monogrammed}.

4. It is hard to believe, but we'll be celebrating Little Miss' 1st birthday in a little less than 2 1/2 months. Oh where oh where is the time going?! I can't lie, I've been thinking about a fun {and different} theme for her little party for a few months now. And I think we have a winner....You Are My Sunshine! I'm so very excited! I know SHE won't exactly remember it all, but I sure have fun getting to party plan, so let the fun begin!

5. Josh and I got to have a getaway a few weekends ago {just the two of us}. He had business in Dallas, so I got to tag along! What a fun long weekend we had together. We stayed at the new Omni downtown Dallas {I highly recommend if you are ever in that area} and went to dinner Saturday night at one of the most fabulous places! It is a must {in my opinion}! Can't wait to go back...my mouth is already watering just thinking about it!! Thank you DD for the recommendation!

Well, there you have it! Random, I know! Hope everyone has a wonderful Thursday! The weekend is right around the corner!

{happy 4th}

Happy 4th of July from our family to yours! Wishing you all a day full of fun celebrations!

{back to the beach}

And that is exactly where we've been....!

We had a fun little getaway with Josh's side of the family....all together at the beach one last time before Mr. Sawyer arrives! It was fun getting to see Ella and her sweet cousin playing, chasing each other, laughing, and loving on Double and Gram together. Fun times had by all!

"Are we there yet?"

Cheeeeese! Playing in the pool is so fun!

Not sure if they had enough toys or not!!

My little snugglebug!

Sweet cousins!

Ella loves McCain! Monkey see....monkey do!

Just lounging on Gram and Doubles bed!

Loving on their Double!

Happy Monday to all! We have a full day planned of lots of cleaning and packing for our next road trip of the week! Let the fun begin! :)
